All art found on gengen.me is intellectual property of the artist GenGen, with the exception of logos provided by other brands (i.e. Patreon). GenGen reserved all exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, display, and alter the work.

Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of GenGen’s work, in whole or part, is strictly prohibited without the written permission of the artist. Commissioning or purchasing works of GenGen does not transfer or annul any of these rights and restrictions.

GenGen hereby permits the use of his artwork under the restriction that you use it personally, only, for profile pictures or avatars, as long as sufficient credit to the artist is given. Sufficient credit includes naming the artist (“GenGen”) and linking to his web page GenGen.me or his Patreon patreon.com/GenGen. Alterations are prohibited. Removal of signatures and/or credits is prohibited.

You are not allowed to use any of GenGen’s work for any commercial purposes, public projects (excluding commentary and criticism as per Federal Copyright Acts), or projects concerning artificial intelligence.

If you wish to use GenGen’s work for your stream or video projects, please refer to the contact page to reach out to GenGen, as he commonly makes exceptions when politely asked but can not and will not allow the use of previously commissioned works, especially those showcasing characters owned or designed by third parties.

Under no circumstances are you to remove credit of GenGen’s work or claim his works to be your own.

Intellectual property and works are protected as per Federal Copyright Acts, and, if violated, will be reported to the according authorities.

Commission terms

By commissioning GenGen, you agree to the following terms:

You acquire the rights to only privately showcase and distribute the commissioned work on your stream, website, video projects and social platforms.

GenGen will stream or share the work in progress with viewers and Patrons at his own expertise. If you wish for GenGen not to share work in progress of the art, please inform him of this before he starts working on your commission. As within this request of yours, GenGen will have less content to share with Patrons and viewers, you will have to pay an additional fee for compensation, depending on the size of the project. (Note: Smaller projects such as expression icons or quick sketches tend to be too small to justify this fee, in GenGen’s opinion).

The finished commissioned artwork will be showcased on GenGen’s platforms, including (but not exclusively) this very webpage, his blog, his Patreon, his discord server, or other places. GenGen reserves the right to alter, distribute, and monetize his works.

If you wish for your commission to not be altered, distributed, monetized, and/or showcased by GenGen, or if you wish to alter, commercially distribute, commercially showcase, or monetize the commissioned content yourself, you will have to sign an agreement with GenGen prior to the beginning of his works, at the cost of additional fees as compensation.

Commission Payment

For the purpose of international understanding, prices are listed as $ USD and commissions are to be paid in $ USD. If you live in the EU and primarily use € EURO as your currency, you may pay in €. Please talk to GenGen about this prior to making a payment. Currency conversations are made on the day of payment. Once agreed upon, prices will not change anymore, regardless of market and inflation.

Payments are ideally made via PayPal. GenGen can either create an invoice for you, or you may send money for services to his paypal and his connected Email. If you chose the latter, please ensure to not automatically convert the currency from $ USD to € Euro. If the only currency available to you at the time is different from $ USD or € Euro, please request detailed payment instructions from GenGen.

If Paypal is not available to you as an option for payment, in some cases, payments via IBAN can be made in € Euro.

Please do not use payment functions via Paypal donations, Stream Donations, Patreon Pledges, Kofi purchases/donations, or any other payment function other than the mentioned payment options as explained in the paragraph above. Additional fees and conversations will render your payment attempt incorrect, incomplete, or not applicable at all.

GenGen will present a work in progress, in most cases a sketch, of your requested commission. Only when presented a sketch will you be required to make a payment, for GenGen to continue and finish the commission. This way ensures that the artist gets compensated, and you have proof of the artist’s commitment to the work at the same time.
